The consortium for the protection of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Vittoria DOC wines (labeled by
the Minister for the Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies pursuant to art. 41 clause 1 Law No 238 on 12 th
December 2016) is committed to the protection, promotion, appreciation, enhancement and provision
of informations related to Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Vittoria DOC wines.
The mentioned denomination are included in the Register of the protected designation of origin and
geographical indication pursuant to art. 104 of the Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013
The Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Vittoria DOC wines producers are based in the Ragusa, Catania and Caltanissetta provinces. The Consortium represent the 85% of the producers of the whole area
Therefore the Consortium ensures high quality by a set of formal production guidelines for the winemaking process and an accurate work of promotion of the so-called “enological pearl” of Sicily.
